Prior to this year, I was working full time in a management position with a building company. I worked for them for well over 8 years, and this job took up a great part of my life. But I learnt a lot over those 8+ years and progressed in the company which is what a career is all about. Since being made redundant at the end of 2007, I now only work just part-time (which I love), and am trying to make 2008 a bit more about me and what I want out of life, and not about what I can do for everyone else. So far, am sort of failing miserably, but am at least trying.

I love going to live shows, music being a total passion for me. All I need to do now is improve on my singing voice so I can sing-a-long a bit better. I love to sing, but could improve on that particular "talent" (if you can call it that).

Am also trying to make 2008 a bit of a learning curve year. Do things I have never done before. So with that in mind, I put up my hand to become an Administrator on the Torchwood Australia Fan Club website. I've never done anything like that before, so all of it is a learning curve (have managed a computer network before through work, but never done any of the background stuff on a website before). And our main Admin is making me use my brain a bit, so that is always good.

I'm also "trying" very hard to participate in a bit of TW fanfic. Still very much the fanfic learner, but it has been interesting. And the other writers on the forum are a huge inspiration.
